Cydna Knebal - Scampolia Collection

Scampolia Collection

As a twig trembles, which a bird

Lights on to sing, then leaves unbent,

So is my memory thrilled and stirred:-

I only know she came and went.

Maria White Lowell (1821 – 1855)

The Scampolia Collection celebrates “scampolo”, which translated from Italian, associates “a remnant” or “a little piece of something.”

What began as a devotion to the artist's personal archive of photographs, ephemera and literature, has become a collection of joyful works, documenting the most glamorous era in design, fashion and photography.

Scampolia emerged, offering a profound energy and lasting glimpse of how individuals have influenced and inspired popular culture through “attainable memories.” The collection gives a new perspective on who we are and where we came from. From these nostalgic references, a fondness for the golden age of sophistication and elegance appears.

A 30 piece exhibit, first featured by artist Cydna Knebel at Anthropologie Stores in Seattle, has grown to include a debut line of home accessories as well as the piccolo linen line, 4PM.

Actual or similar works are available, as well as individual commissions, using treasured images of someone who has inspired your life. Please direct inquiries for both to:
